We can agree with Judaism about the idea that God is life and is being, and non-existence as such does not exist.  This idea gives hope for real eternal life, in the sense that the identity of a decent person will be stored somewhere in the cloud service for the purpose of using for some benefit of the case.

Only the Ego can die.  The soul is immortal.  It is the Ego that trembles with the fear of death,and fear begets.  It is the Ego that builds boundaries and then fears that they will be destroyed.

The realization of the immortality of the soul makes people patient.  Why the fuss and hurry?  Why fear?

Belief in the immortality of the soul significantly reduces the fear of death and improves the quality of life.

The essence of immortality is life in the name of the eternal.  Living in the name of perishable things creates the fear of death, the source of all other fears, vices, and sufferings.

Although   Gods   have   become   immortal,   having   stopped   dying   of   ageing,   it   didn’t   reduce   risk   of   their   accidental   death,   but   it   reduced   birth   rate   drastically.   So   they   stopped   reproduction   and   soon   died   out   of   accidents,   suicides   and   various   strange   diseases.

Death  and  ageing  are  aimed  at  the  population`s  good.  Immortality  will  destroy  the  population.

Immortality   of   individuals   will   stop   evolution   and   reduce   adaptability   to   the   changing   conditions   of   life.   As   a   result,   the   population   will   be   destroyed   by   negative   circumstances,   which   it   will   not   be   able   to   adapt   to.   For   example,   evolving,   viruses   will   adapt   to   the   immune   system   of   the   immortals   and   wipe   them   off   the   face   of   the   Earth.

Immortality   is   more   likely   to   destroy   humanity   than   elevate   it.
